The tiramizoo success story begins in November 2010. Founders Michael Löhr, Volker Schneider and Philipp Walz quickly create waves in the industry with their new company. Just a few months after being formed, the High-Tech Gründerfonds, investors Burkhard Blum and Dirk Reiche as well as Bayern Kapital all come on board in March 2011. And then things really start to take off: the tiramizoo.com booking platform is launched in August 2011.
Other investors start taking notice of the last mile pioneers. A year after going online, Daimler AG takes a minority stake in tiramizoo. Proclaimed goal: to extend the company’s online presence and develop tiramizoo as a new and innovative online booking platform for urban couriers nationwide. Late 2012 sees the relaunch of the booking platform, now with updated technology, and rapid implementation for new, high-value customers: the lodenfrey.com online shop becomes “powered by tiramizoo”, followed by other multichannel retailers such as Conrad and Cyberport in early 2013.
